Day 25

It has been awhile since the last blog post. However, it has been a very exciting period of time for Hebe. The best place to start is the introduction of a new adviser to the team. Her name is Anna Sundborger.  Anna has a background in cell biology, cell structure and biochemistry. She is currently working at the National Institutes of Health doing neuroscience research. Her role will be to provide scientific and technical advise to the company as we transition from design to building a working prototyping.  In addition, we will be expanding our team and Anna has the contacts and cultural understanding of academia to lure talented scientists to our team. We are very excited about her joining the team.

The second piece of news we want to share is that Innovate 4 Health, which was the competition that inspired the creation of Hebe, selected us to be one of seven finalists. The competition asked all high schools and colleges in the state of Maryland to come up with innovative healthcare solutions. We feel honored for the opportunity. On May 20th, Hebe will attend a presentation coaching session for finalists at the University of Maryland from 6-8 pm. We are excited to talk to all of the other finalists and maybe pull some great talent to our side. We will be presenting Safi at the Maryland Health IT Innovation Day on Thursday, June 4th. We would love for you to come out and support Hebe.

The third piece of news we want to share is that Gladiator Pitch, which  is a competition run by by Prince George's Community College, accepted us to be one of fifteen finalists .On May 19th, Hebe will present Safi to a distinguished group of community leaders. The event will be from 1:00-4:00 pm in Largo Student Center, Ronnie Forum. If you are in the area, we would love for you to show your support.

We are currently in the funding phase for the creation of a working prototype. The effort will need funding, so we are applying to several different programs that will allow us to create the prototype. We will keep you updated on our progress.

Day 1

It is exciting to launch this blog. We, at Hebe, view Safi as a wonderful product, capable of eradicating dental caries from this world.  We believe that there are way too many people facing serious dental issues because they were raised on the mythology of the the tooth brush. We want to help those suffering now. But, most importantly, we want to prevent further generations from facing a future of dental problems due to the failures of the tooth brush. We invite you to come along for the ride and help us change the way the world cleans its teeth.

The company is in the early stages, but we believe that its important to keep our future users informed of our progress. It is our hope that a community of users can arise to support Safi's expansion around the world. We will need all of you to help us. The oral care industry is dominated by a few, powerful multinational corporations. If we are to be successful, your help will be invaluable to overcome the entrenched opposition.

In terms of progress, we are in the middle of building our working prototype. We are focusing on perfecting the mechanisms involved within the uniquely designed canister and the spray containment unit. They are the most technically challenging aspects of Safi's design, but we believe our team will overcome the challenges they pose. In addition, we continue to build our team. We would like to bring abroad a few more individuals to help us bring Safi to all of you in a more expedited manner. If you would like to join our team, you are more than happy to send us a message through the contact page. We are a young company so enthusiasm and dedication are a must. The right person(s) will also be considered for receiving a percentage of the equity.

If you guys or gals having any questions, please feel free to contact us. We are eager to listen to any concerns or answer any questions you may have about Safi. The journey begins today. Let's all hope the ride is a wonderful experience.
